The opening of this branch marks StartDock's seventh location and its first in Utrecht, the third city in the network alongside Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The new location, StartDock Oudegracht, is located in a monumental building at Oudegracht 161, with the entrance on Hekelsteeg. The 438 m² office space on the first floor offers a mix of private offices, shared workspaces, flexible workspaces, meeting rooms and phone booths. StartDock focuses on young, entrepreneurial companies, start-ups, scale-ups and freelancers in the digital and creative sector who value an inspiring working environment and an active community. The renovation has preserved the character of the building, while providing it with modern facilities such as a new entrance, renovated sanitary facilities, a pantry with built-in appliances and an advanced air conditioning system. The building has also been completely disconnected from the gas supply, meaning that heating and cooling are provided by the same units using electricity.
