What is the difference between a postal address and a virtual office?
A first step toward renting an office or workplace is often a virtual workplace or postal address. These two are very similar, but they're not actually the same. In this article I will explain the main differences, but also the similarities.

The match between a postal address and a virtual office
You can rent a virtual office or a postal address if you have a business. There are several reasons why you might want to do this.
One of the most important reasons is that you do not have to enter your private address on your website or business cards. You can choose an address that is located in the center of the city, or in a prominent location. This looks more professional than a home address.
Another reason may be that you want to be flexible at your workplace. Of course, you can rent an office at a coworking space, but its prices are soon a plural of a postal address or a virtual office. In addition, the contracts of an office are usually for a longer-term.
For an extra fee, you can choose to work flexibly here and there for a day or two at the address of your postal address or virtual office. A prerequisite for this must be that the postal address or virtual office must be able to give you the opportunity to offer a workplace. In other words, they must have been made for that. When you rent your postal address or your virtual office from a company that also has a co-working space, this is of course the case.
If you don't want your business mail to end up at your private address, both options offer to process your business mail. Your postal address is therefore your business correspondence address. The name postal address says that a bit natural. How each postal address or virtual office does this varies by company. You can choose from various options that best suit you and your situation.

The differences between a postal address and a virtual office
Even if you may enter the postal address as an address on your business cards, website, and other correspondence, it does not count as registration with the Chamber of Commerce. If you rent a postal address, you still have to enter your private address with the Chamber of Commerce. In the event that you rent a postal address, it is therefore perfectly normal that the address on your website and the address in the register of the Chamber of Commerce differ from each other. If you want to consider that your home address cannot be found because of professionality or privacy considerations, you have to choose a virtual office. With that address, you can register with the Chamber of Commerce. This is the main difference.
Every company must be physically visiting. At the Chamber of Commerce, you can specify two different addresses, your postal address, and your visiting address. So, if you only rent a postal address, you still have to enter your private address as a visiting address.
If a virtual office meets the requirements of a visiting address, you do not have to provide your private address there. Our virtual office meets these requirements. This allows you to use our address at a virtual office as a visiting address and postal address for your company. Your private address, therefore, looks private.
